About us
Our Story
NBCC was inspired by the founder's dedication to their hair salon and barber shop. Although the initial efforts were modest, it soon became evident that a broader impact was necessary, leading to the establishment of the New Beginnings Community Center.
The salon offered valuable insights into the struggles faced by individuals and families, including issues like food insecurity and unemployment. This experience helped the founders better understand the community's needs and sparked innovative ideas for change. After more than 20 years of commitment, they now focus on empowering those in need and transforming the community.

Our Healthy Eating Initiative
NBCC is committed to addressing the challenges faced in low-income and underserved communities by providing accessible healthy food giveaways to ensure families have consistent access to nutritious foods and providing education on gardening, nutrition, and sustainable living practices.
Our Workforce Initiative
At NBCC, we are dedicated to empowering individuals in our community by providing them with opportunities to gain valuable skills, secure sustainable employment, and build brighter futures. Our Workforce Initiative proudly offers a Cosmetology Apprenticeship program, which is specifically designed to equip aspiring professionals in the beauty industry with the education, hands-on training, and mentorship they need to thrive as entrepreneurs. This program aims to foster success in the beauty industry and promote a promising career as a beauty professional.
