For many families, Thanksgiving is a time of gathering, gratitude, and sharing a meal together. But for families facing financial hardship, the cost of a Thanksgiving meal can create an additional burden during an already challenging season.
New Beginnings Community Center Inc. (NBCC) is launching our 2026 Thanksgiving Turkey Campaign to help ensure that families in need within Clayton and Fulton Counties can experience the joy and dignity of a Thanksgiving meal.
Who We Will Serve
Our goal is to provide 100 Thanksgiving turkeys to 100 families in our community, prioritizing individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship and may have difficulty purchasing a turkey for their household.
The families we serve may include:
- Low-income households
- Single-parent families
- Senior citizens and older adults
- Families experiencing temporary financial hardship
- Individuals and households facing food insecurity
- Underserved families within Clayton and Fulton Counties
Why Your Sponsorship Is Important
Your sponsorship does more than provide a turkey—it helps relieve a financial burden and create an opportunity for families to gather around the table with dignity and hope.
When a sponsor helps provide a turkey, they become part of something bigger: a community coming together to make sure that families don't have to face Thanksgiving without the ability to share a traditional meal.

Her Crown, Her Strength was created to support women facing breast cancer by providing more than a wig—we want to restore a sense of beauty, confidence, dignity, and self-worth during a difficult season.
Hair loss can be one of the most visible and emotional side effects of cancer treatment. For many women, receiving a personalized wig can help them feel more like themselves while they navigate treatment and recovery.
Through this initiative, we aim to provide a woman with a Wig & Wellness Experience, including:
- A personalized hair and scalp consultation
- Scalp analysis
- A custom or customized wig
- Professional wig fitting
- Wig-care education
- A supportive beauty and wellness experience
The reason is simple:
We want every woman battling breast cancer to know that she is seen, she is supported, and she deserves to feel beautiful and confident—even in the midst of her fight.

New Beginnings Community Center (NBCC) is dedicated to empowering and uplifting the community through workforce development, wellness initiatives, education, and life-changing opportunities. Our mission is to help individuals and families build stronger futures by providing access to resources, training, mentorship, and community support.
We are excited to officially launch our first workforce development initiative, the NBCC Summer Salon Workforce Training Program, hosted in partnership with New Beginnings Hair Studio. This hands-on program introduces youth and aspiring beauty professionals to salon operations, professionalism, entrepreneurship, barbering, natural hair education, and workforce readiness in a real salon environment.
Through mentorship, practical training, and community support, NBCC is committed to creating opportunities that inspire confidence, creativity, leadership, and career growth for the next generation.
Ways to Help
There are many ways individuals, businesses, and community partners can support the NBCC Summer Salon Workforce Training Program as we prepare to train our first cohort of 6 students.
Ways to Support:
• Sponsor a student training kit or salon supplies
• Donate salon products, barbering tools, mannequins, or equipment
• Provide snacks, lunches, or beverages for students during training days
• Volunteer as a guest speaker, mentor, or beauty industry professional
• Sponsor program shirts, certificates, or graduation materials
• Offer internships, shadowing opportunities, or career guidance
• Make financial contributions to help support workforce development and future program expansion
• Share the program with the community and on social media
This program is designed to provide hands-on salon training, workforce readiness, mentorship, and exposure to cosmetology, barbering, natural hair care, salon management, and entrepreneurship in a professional environment.
